Municipal government affects the quality of your everyday life.

Yellowknife City Council makes decisions about:

  • where you and your family live
  • where your children go to school;
  • the water you drink;
  • the safety of city streets;
  • where you work;
  • your standard of living;
  • the look and feel of your neighbourhoods;
  • your recreation and volunteer programs: and
  • how well we look after each other.
